Omaha High Low 8 or Better is a Poker game in which each player receives four cards as his initial hand. Each player MUST use a specific combination of five cards; any two out of his hand and any three from the board (community cards) to form the best five-card poker hand and also the best five-card low hand. Omaha High Low 8 or Better will usually be played with a qualifier for the low hand, meaning in order for a low hand to qualify, it must contain five non paired cards all lower than a predetermined rank. If no player can make a low, the high hand wins the entire pot.
Betting Structure
The betting structure for all Omaha games will follow the betting structure rules as described in the Hold’em section.
Players may use one combination of cards to make a high hand and the same or any other combination to make a low hand, as long as each hand uses exactly two hole cards.
