DJ Wild Stud Poker
Expect the Unexpected. The objective of DJ Wild Stud Poker game is to have a higher hand than the designated player with the ability to use deuces and the joker as wild cards.
In DJ Wild, there are 4 deuces (2’s) and one Joker in each deck. These are used to make the best possible 5 card hand. For example, a hand of Ace, Queen, 8, 3, and 2 unsuited would be played as a pair of Aces since the 2 is a wild card and that is the best possible hand the 2 can be used to complete. Once all players’ hands are set, the designated player’s hand is revealed.
Hand rankings are in order of lowest to highest: 1.) High Card 2.) One Pair 3.) Two Pair 4.)Three of a kind 5.) Straight 6.) Flush 7.) Full House 8.) Four of a kind 9.) Straight Flush 10.) Five of a Kind (Quints) 11.) Royal Flush 12.) Five Wilds
This game features 4 different spots to bet: The Trips, Ante, Blind, and Play bets.
The ante and blind bets are mandatory and must match each other. The trips bet is optional and is only paid when the player has a qualifying hand that beats the designated player’s hand; otherwise that bet is taken at the end of the hand. If the player decides to play their hand, they place their play bet, which is always DOUBLE the ante bet.
There is no minimum qualifying hand for the designated player in DJ Wild.
All ante and play bets are paid 1:1 odds. If the player has a winning hand that does not qualify for a bonus, the blind bet is pushed and the trips bet is collected.
Any bonus hands must beat the designated player’s hand in order to be paid. For example, if the player has a straight and the designated player makes a flush, the player’s hand loses and all bets are collected.
